The most common bariatric surgeries are: A “Sleeve gastrectomy” consists of creating a tubular stomach and resecting the remaining part. B “Roux-en-Y gastric bypass” or RYGB consists of creating a 40-cc small gastric pouch and Roux-en-Y anastomosis of the pouch to the jejunum, 100 cm after Treitz’s ligament. C “One anastomosis gastric bypass” or OAGB (formerly, mini-gastric bypass or MGB) consists of the creation of a long and narrow gastric pouch (250 cc) with loop anastomosis to the jejunum, 150 cm after Treitz’s ligament
